Online fraud, romance scams and digital investigations

A core part of our work since 2010.

Fraud, harassment and deception increasingly start online. Since 2010 we have investigated romance scams, fake investment platforms, anonymous harassment and identity fraud, and helped victims and companies find out who is really behind them.

We work with open sources and lawful methods only. What we find is documented with timestamps and sources, so that your bank, the police and your lawyer can act on it.

Romance scams and online fraud

Who is behind an online profile, whether a new acquaintance is genuine, where the money went: we investigate, ideally before more damage is done.

  • Identity checks on online contacts
  • Romance scams and online investment fraud
  • Evidence for your bank, the police and your lawyer

OSINT research

Systematic analysis of open sources on people, companies and networks.

  • Profiles from registries, media and social networks
  • Link analysis
  • Documentation with timestamps and sources

Cyberstalking and defamation

We identify the anonymous authors of online threats, defamation and harassment.

  • Attributing anonymous accounts
  • Evidence for injunctions and criminal complaints

Digital evidence preservation

We capture online content so that it can later be used as evidence.

  • Verifiable captures of websites and profiles
  • Work with IT forensic specialists where needed

Common questions

I think I am talking to a romance scammer. What should I do first?

Stop sending money, keep every message and payment record, and do not tell the contact that you are suspicious. Then contact us or the police. The earlier the evidence is secured, the more can be done.

Can you get my money back?

We cannot promise recovery. We can identify where payments went and who is behind them, and prepare the evidence your bank, the police and a lawyer need to pursue recovery.

Do you hack accounts or phones?

No. We use open sources and lawful methods only. Evidence obtained illegally would harm your case, and obtaining it can be a criminal offence.
