2. Our approach
This website uses no analytics or advertising cookies, no tracking and no social media plugins. Fonts, images and videos are served from our own server. We process personal data only as far as necessary to run the website and to handle your enquiry.
3. Hosting and server logs
The website is delivered via Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type and operating system. This serves the secure and reliable delivery of the website and protection against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure operation of the website.
We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses also apply.
4. Contact form and email
When you write to us through the contact form or by email, we process the details you provide (name, email address, phone number if given, the topic selected and your message) in order to answer your enquiry and prepare a possible engagement.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a possible engagement, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is answering enquiries.
Form enquiries are not stored in a database on this website. They are transmitted encrypted and forwarded through Cloudflare's email service to our mailbox at Proton AG, Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland. Switzerland is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted no later than six months after the correspondence ends, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Abuse protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the contact form from automated submissions. Turnstile is only loaded when you use the contact form. Technical characteristics of your browser and your IP address are sent to Cloudflare to determine whether the request comes from a person. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protection against spam and abuse. Access to information on your device is based on § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, as it is strictly necessary to send the form you have requested.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent at any time. Please contact us at the email address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Our competent authority is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
7. Data processing within investigative engagements
The processing of personal data within an engagement is governed separately by the engagement terms. This notice covers the use of this website only.
